No. Your dashboard keeps a short checklist of the first steps and picks up wherever you left off, so you can add your home today and come back for appliances later.

Is HomeHelp free to start?

Yes. You can create an account, add your home, get a maintenance plan, and build to-do lists for free. Paid plans add unlimited AI design work and other extras.

Where does the home information come from?

HomeHelp estimates details like year built and size from publicly available information about your address. It's a starting point, not gospel — every field stays editable, and correcting it makes your recommendations sharper.

What if I don't know my appliance details?

Take a photo of the model or data label and HomeHelp reads the brand, model, and other details off it. If the label is gone, pick the appliance type and rough age and you'll still get useful reminders.

Who can see my home information?

Only you, plus anyone you explicitly share a list or project with. Your home details, notes, photos, and documents are private to your account.

How it works

1. Add your home

Create your free account and enter your address. HomeHelp fills in what it can from public information — year built, square footage, home type — and you can edit every field. This is the single most important step; everything else builds on it.

2. Review your recommended maintenance

Open Home Care and HomeHelp generates a maintenance plan for your house: filters, gutters, water heater flushes, seasonal shut-offs, and more, each with a suggested timing based on your home's age and systems.

3. Build your first to-do list

Accept the recommended items you want and add your own. Give each task a due date and a reminder — email, app, or text — from 1 to 30 days ahead so it reaches you before it's late.

4. Log your appliances and systems

Add your furnace, water heater, fridge, washer and the rest. You can pick from a starter checklist or snap a photo of the model label and let HomeHelp read the details. Warranty and filter reminders come from these records.

5. Add photos, notes and projects

Take a photo of anything you're unsure about and HomeHelp will tell you what it's likely seeing and how to fix it. Save paint colors and quotes as notes, and start a project for bigger work you're planning.

6. Share your list with your household

Invite your partner or a helper by email, or hand them a short code. Choose whether they can just view, comment, or edit — and change or revoke access whenever you want.
